AR Review: - Bob work with IBIS committee to make ibischk cautions show by default - Bob brought this up at the last IBIS open forum - The decision was to not change anything - Bob said ibischk 4.2.2 will be released this Friday - A new caution is needed for inconsistent diff pairs - Watch out for a [Model] used in both differential and single ended. - Bob said we have to recognize that cautions create more work for those that have to investigate each one. - Mike delete IQ check 3.4.2 - Done - Mike renumber the IQ spec so that [Model Selector] is new section 4 - Done - Does not include material from Roy and David - Mike having trouble with MSWord outline numbering feature - The table of contents has a numbering error because some section heads can not be changed to the Secion Head format. - Roy send cleanup suggestions for the IQ spec - Done - All review 5/14 email from David Banas and email any feedback - David got one response - David consider adding text to 4.2.21, 4.2.23, 4.2.25 - Done, but Mike has not yet added the emailed material New items: - none Continued review of IQ specification: We decided not to review [Receiver Threshold] checks now. We have deleted 3.4.1 and 3.4.2 - These are not needed because ibischk catches those problems. - David asked if ibischk is documented - In theory, more checks will become obsolete as ibischk is improved Section 5.1 has no introductory text - Other sections also have no text - No action required 5.1.1. {LEVEL 2} [Model] parameters have correct typ/min/max order - We reviewed usage of min/typ/max data in IBIS - Bob said that min/typ/max is by process corner for all data except C_comp - The min data is slow, max data is fast - C_comp min is the lowest value, which admittedly is usually fastest - Expected min temperature value is highest for CMOS, lowest for bipolar - Kim pointed out that it is difficult to determine slow/fast by looking at IV tables - Looking at area under IV curves may not be correct - David said that package values are in numerical order, and - Bob: package values are not correlated with buffer corner - This check should explain the exceptions - Kim: Current text of this check is contradictory Discussion of 5.1.1 will resume at the next meeting.
